The TAG Excalibur Awards shine a spotlight on organizations that use technology to solve business problems with positive results. Jabian Consulting supported the awards as a way of encouraging companies to make smart investments in technological solutions.

Atlanta, Georgia (October 22, 2010) – It is no small accomplishment for an organization of any size to recognize a business hurdle, make the decision to overcome it, and then invest the time, money, and effort to implement a technology solution that solves the business problem. That is the type of achievement recognized by the TAG Excalibur Awards, presented this year by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) on October 22. Jabian Consulting served as a sponsor.

“Excalibur includes categories for all types of organizations – small, mid-size and large companies, plus creative and educational categories,” says Nigel Zelcer.“That’s one reason Jabian loves to serve on the event committee and sponsor the awards ceremony. It’s so important to the technology community that businesses understand that forward-thinking technological solutions are not just for big companies. Yes, there’s an investment involved, but above all, there’s amindset that makes these organizations stand out in the way they solve problems.”

Since 2005, TAG has hosted the annual Excalibur Awards program in collaboration with the Business & Technology Alliance society. This awards program recognizes the leading Georgia organizations that are “tech-enabled” (consumers of technology, not producers).

Jabian congratulates the 2010 Excalibur Award winners: City of Marietta, Tech Exec Networks Inc., Intercontinental Hotels Group, NCR and Darton College. Hal Lawton, VP Online Home Depot, gave the keynote address. More than 400 attendees enjoyed networking opportunities during the event at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel.

Jabian has been closely involved with TAG since 2008, now serving as a Platinum Sponsor of the organization and sitting on various boards and committees within TAG. “It has been a great journey for our people,” Zelcer says. “Every time a TAG group meets, it puts great minds from the technology community together.”
