ATLANTA (August 18, 2011) – The Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta(CVC) is proud to announce the finalists of its 2011 IMPACT Awards. Winners will be announced on September 22, 2011 at the 14th Annual IMPACT awards program held at the King Plow Arts Center in downtown Atlanta.

“The finalists for this year’s IMPACT awards are prime examples of companies who are dedicated to volunteerism around the city of Atlanta,” enthused Cheryl Kortemeier, executive director of the CVC of Atlanta. “We are tremendously proud of all of the 2011 IMPACT nominees and the impressive work they continue to do to influence and better our communities.”

The 14th Annual IMPACT Awards Program will feature an awards ceremony and reception. A networking reception will begin at 6 p.m. before the awards ceremony beginning at 6:45 p.m. The program will feature a keynote address by Dr. Steven D. Olson, Director, Center for Ethics and Corporate Responsibility, J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. The 2011 IMPACT Awards Presenting Sponsor is The Home Depot Foundation. IMPACT Level sponsors are AGL Resources, the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. INSPIRE Level sponsors are  AT&T, Cisco, The Coca-Cola Company, Edelman and Newell Rubbermaid. Individual tickets for the event are $50 for CVC members and $75 for non-members.
