Jabian Consulting received the Elite Award as part of being selected for the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” list by the National Association for Business Resources.

Atlanta, Georgia – June 20, 2011 – For the first time, Atlanta companies had the opportunity this year to be considered for the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” awards, given by the National Association of Business Resources to honor excellence in human resources initiatives. Jabian Consulting not only made the inaugural list of Atlanta honorees, but was singled out as the Elite Award Winner in the Small Business category. Founding partner Chris Reinking accepted both awards on Jabian’s behalf.

The honorees spanned a variety of industries, all with one thing in common: high employee satisfaction. One Elite Award winner was selected in each of three categories (small, medium, and large businesses) for particularly creative and successful practices. Each nominated company’s detailed entry was evaluated by an independent research firm, which also assessed results of random employee interviews. Key measures included communication, compensation and benefits, diversity, education, recruitment and retention, and work-life balance.

“A nurturing environment that supports professional development is a big part of how we attract and retain the top people in our industry,” Reinking explains. “And that translates into successfully delivering on a business promise – our commitment to providing our clients with superstar consultants on every project.”

Jabian’s strengths in this area include educational and career development opportunities and community involvement. The firm recently established a voluntary 360-degree feedback program and set aside a health and wellness budget. Its growth and retention rate speaks for itself – the company has experienced more than 900% growth since its inception in 2006.

Formerly given only in Detroit, Chicago, and West Michigan, the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” program expanded to Atlanta this year. In addition to the awards ceremony, the program includes a human resources symposium. The event took place at the Marriott Atlanta Century Center and was emceed by Monica Pearson of Atlanta’s WSB-TV and Stone Payton of Atlanta Business Radio X.
