Atlanta, Georgia – August 16, 2013 – Jabian employees Deron Dowhower and Fred Jewell, accompanied by John Eisenhauer from McKesson, presented A Tie that Pops!: Communicating Strategic Alignment with the Bowtie Framework at the Association for Strategic Planning – Atlanta Chapter’s August meeting.
The ASP hosts monthly programs featuring speaker presentations and interactive roundtable discussions. This month, Jewell, Dowhower, and Eisenhauer presented an innovative framework that can be used to align the efforts of the workforce with the intent of the business – the Bowtie Framework. Jewell, an Executive Director at Jabian, stated in the presentation that “aligning departmental and team goals with the overall goals of the business is critical to an engaged and productive workforce. The Bowtie Framework helps leaders communicate that alignment”.
The Bowtie Framework can be utilized by business, government and non-profit executive, educators, and practitioners as a means of strategic planning, strategy execution, and organizational performance management. The framework provides a structure that leaders in larger companies can use to better support the goals of the enterprise as a whole.

Fred holds a BS and a MS in General Engineering, specializing in Human Factors and Engineering Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
